Jessica Alba‘s husband, Cash Warren, could potentially receive an impressive $2 million yearly in spousal support if they pursue a divorce, as stated by legal expert Goldie Schon. In an interview with The U.S. Sun, the family law professional noted that California’s progressive spousal support regulations may still impose substantial obligations on Alba, irrespective of any prenuptial agreements they may have.
Even though the couple has been together for 16 years, Warren, a producer who hasn’t been active in the Hollywood industry since 2015, could argue for substantial spousal support due to Alba’s The Honest Company, which boasts a valuation of $609 million, Alba’s financial standing places her in a position to provide considerable assistance.
Schon further explained that even with a prenuptial agreement in place, it can be deemed unreasonable by the court, thereby still resulting in a spousal support order. In long-term marriages like theirs, courts typically do not impose rigid constraints on the duration of support.
Child Support Could Be Very High
The couple has three children, which might necessitate Alba to pay upwards of $60,000 per month in child support, along with covering additional expenses to sustain their lifestyle. Schon remarked that cases with high-income families often involve costs for private schooling, travel, and even security.
In California, child support is required to align with the lifestyle maintained by both parents, which means the disparity in Warren’s income could greatly influence support arrangements.
Uncertainties Ahead
Speculations about possible troubles in their marriage arose when Alba, 43, was seen without her wedding ring on public occasions and during a recent trip to Rome with family. Sources indicate that a divorce filing might be on the horizon, though no formal actions have been initiated yet.
When discussing marital hurdles in 2024, Alba reflected, “Relationships have their ups and downs, but you find your way back to one another.” Nonetheless, the couple’s future continues to be uncertain.
Married in 2008 after meeting on the set of Fantastic Four, they are parents to Honor, Haven, and Hayes. Regardless of the outcome of their relationship, Alba’s dedication to her family remains evident, highlighted by her emotional social media posts celebrating her children.
