The former Governor of Sokoto, Attahiru Bafarawa, has officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Bafarawa served as the governor of Sokoto State in Nigeria from May 29, 1999, until May 29, 2007.

In a message to the PDP’s National Chairman, he expressed his renewed dedication to a youth movement aimed at driving significant change.

He emphasized his intention to exclusively focus on initiatives that facilitate youth empowerment and to steer clear of any possible conflicts of interest.
