Beyoncé has reportedly shown a significant gesture of admiration towards fellow music icon Mariah Carey by leaving her premium penthouse suite at the opulent Corinthia Hotel in London.
This move coincided with Mariah Carey arriving in the UK for her performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium this past weekend, symbolizing a respect from one of the leading figures in the music industry.
As reported by The Sun, Beyoncé had been residing in the hotel’s penthouse suites, which cost £34,000 per night, during her 12-night visit to the city, where she had recently performed at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The 43-year-old artist is believed to have cleared out the suite for her esteemed colleague, renowned for her festive hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” that charts every holiday season.
“Superstars like Beyoncé and Mariah prefer the finest accommodations,” a source shared with The Sun. “Beyoncé had occupied Corinthia’s penthouses.
“But when Mariah arrived, Beyoncé quickly packed her things to allow Mariah to take over her suites. It was as though Beyoncé was paying homage to another queen of music.”

Additionally, Mariah Carey’s arrival in London sparked interest with her backstage demands at Capital’s Summertime Ball, where she performed alongside Will Smith, marking her much-anticipated return to UK concerts after a six-year hiatus.
During the event’s red carpet, Capital Radio’s presenter, Sian Welby, disclosed that Carey had thoroughly revamped her dressing room.
“We will comply with her demands,” Welby informed The Sun. “When it comes to Mariah, she calls the shots.”
“She renamed the entire dressing room to be ‘Mimi’s World.’ It no longer carries any branding from Capital; it is entirely her domain.”
Carey’s reputation for extravagant requests is well-known. During her Christmas Time tour in 2023, insiders reported strict backstage rules, indicating staff were instructed not to engage with or photograph the star.
Controversially, dancers judged as “unattractive” were reportedly excluded from the tour, and it was mentioned that Carey required a full glam squad even for early rehearsals.
