Sean “Diddy” Combs is celebrating this Memorial Day differently than in years past—far away from the glitz of cameras, sparkling drinks, and extravagant boat parties.
Currently, the 55-year-old music mogul is spending the holiday at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he remains detained due to an ongoing federal trial related to sex trafficking.
The facility has arranged a number of recreational activities to observe the holiday, such as 3-on-3 basketball matches, games of dominoes, spades, and various classic board games.

For dinner, he is expected to have a meal of chicken and rice, pinto beans, canned corn, and whole wheat bread—quite different from the gourmet dining he used to enjoy.
The once-celebrated entrepreneur and father of seven is currently facing multiple serious federal charges, including racketeering conspiracy, coercive sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution purposes. Combs has denied all allegations and pleaded not guilty.
As the trial progresses, unsettling testimonies from former associates and alleged victims have taken precedence. Recently, singer Dawn Richard, a former member of the girl group Danity Kane that was signed under Combs’ label, testified about various alleged abusive incidents involving Combs and his former partner, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.
She claimed, “He would drag her and kick her and punch her in the mouth,” describing acts of violence that reportedly occurred whenever Ventura attempted to stand up for herself.
