DJ Diplo recently shared that he was under the influence of LSD while rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles during the Super Bowl.
The 46-year-old, an avid fan of the team, disclosed that he microdoses LSD several times each week, making the thrill of game day just another routine occasion.
Diplo was in New Orleans in celebration of the Eagles’ win against the Kansas City Chiefs and was seen enjoying the moment with comedian Shane Gillis and actor Miles Teller. He was even photographed with the Lombardi Trophy at one point.
Before the game, he participated in an Eagles fan gathering on February 9, where he openly talked about his psychedelic experiences.
“I generally don’t do mushrooms or smoke weed… but I enjoy acid, so I’m on it. I’m currently on it,” Diplo shared.
He noted that his dosage is quite small, ensuring a relaxed experience without any wild antics:
“I’m just chilling. It’s a little dosage. I’m not, like, tripping out. Don’t expect me to do backflips.”
Diplo also revealed he consumes LSD about “four times a week,” but emphasized he does not advocate for others to do the same. His advice for those curious about psychedelics is to “try it and observe how your body responds.”
Diplo’s Previous Admissions About LSD Use
This isn’t the first instance where Diplo has spoken about using LSD. During a New Year’s Eve live special on CNN with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper, he confessed to being on LSD while being interviewed.
When Cohen queried him about the most unusual spot he has taken LSD, Diplo replied nonchalantly:
“Right now. I dosed some on the helicopter en route here… I’m not joking,” he said.
The hosts, shocked at his admission, broke into laughter.
Cohen was visibly surprised, asking, “Oh, my God! Hold on. Are you really tripping right now?”
Diplo confirmed that he was, explaining that it was a “light trip” following his microdose earlier that day.
