The recent “New Heights” podcast episode featured fan favorites Jason and Travis Kelce joined by their mother, Donna Kelce, in a heartwarming discussion for Mother’s Day.
The brothers reminisced and shared delightful stories from their past, bringing laughter and surprise to the audience.
When the conversation turned to dating, Jason became the target of good-natured jokes.
As they reminisced about their school days, Donna Kelce shared her thoughts candidly.
“Jason, you weren’t exactly bringing home many girls,” she remarked. “I only met one or two of Travis‘ friends. You kept your dating life a secret from me.”
Jason made everyone laugh with his response, “I had my chances. But let’s be honest, I didn’t have much game and I looked like an overweight Oompa Loompa, which is why I struggled. I just wasn’t good at talking to girls,” poking fun at his younger self.
A Romantic Encounter via Tinder
In spite of the humor, Jason found love when he matched with his wife, Kylie Kelce, on Tinder in 2014. At first, she had no clue that he was a professional football player.
Jason, who played for the Philadelphia Eagles at the time, intentionally chose not to showcase any football images in his profile. Ironically, what might have appeared as a lack of confidence in dating proved to be a winning approach.
Since tying the knot in 2018, Jason and Kylie have embraced a joyful life together, raising four daughters.
Donna Kelce commended her son for the changes she’s observed in him, saying, “You’ve grown, and that’s promising.”
Jason humorously responded, “Not sure if I have changed at all.”
Kylie later chimed in on TikTok, referring to a clip from the podcast, saying: “Can confirm… he still doesn’t have any game, but I think it’s charming.”
This drew a playful reply from Jason: “The secret is, having no game is still a form of game.”
