JD Vance Clearly Defined His Focus
The quip about forgetting the anniversary was quite dull, but it was nowhere near as cringe-worthy as Vance’s attempt to involve Usha in a joke regarding their recent visit to the Kennedy Center. On X, previously known as Twitter, the Vice President stated that his wife erupted into “hysterical laughter” when he inquired whether “Les Misérables” was about “a barber who murders,” mistakenly describing “Sweeney Todd.” Misunderstanding these two iconic musicals was embarrassing, and it was downright disrespectful to imply that Usha would find it amusing. It might be time for the second lady to take the lead in comedy within the Vance family. Even if Usha only cracked dad jokes, they would likely be more entertaining than JD’s awkward attempts at humor.
