It came as no surprise that Jill was not pleased with Nancy’s remarks. In a January 2025 interview with The Washington Post, she hinted, “I’ve been reflecting a lot on my connections with others.” She went on to express her disappointment regarding the former Speaker of the House without explicitly mentioning her name. “We shared a friendship for 50 years. It was disheartening,” she remarked. The use of past tense strongly conveys her sentiments.
