Kanye West is considering pursuing sole custody of his four kids with Kim Kardashian. He accuses her of “exploiting” their oldest daughter, North, for “personal or commercial gain,” as reported by RadarOnline.com.
Kardashian, 44, reportedly took North to the Met Gala last Monday in New York without West’s consent, which the rapper claims violates their 2022 divorce decree.
Residing in Palma, Spain, West has also accused Kardashian of “denying” him access to their children: North, 11; Saint West, 9; Chicago West, 7; and Psalm West, 5.
West alleges Kim breached custody terms
West expressed his frustration, claiming that Kardashian broke their parental agreement by not obtaining his permission. A friend shared that he believes her actions infringe on his rights as a parent.
Although North did not officially attend the Met Gala, videos and photos shared by her and Kardashian showcased their preparations from their Ritz-Carlton room in Manhattan.
This upset West, who directed his legal team to inform Kardashian that he sees this as “unauthorized exposure.”
He is also alarmed by reports of North being left unsupervised in a car during parts of the event, fearing for her safety.
A source stated: “Kanye has made it clear that he is against the children being showcased on social media.”
Accusations of exploiting her daughter’s image
In a strong statement, West accused Kardashian, his wife for six years before their 2021 split, of using North’s image for “personal or commercial gain” without his consent.
Additionally, West claims he has faced significant challenges in connecting with his kids, having not interacted with Saint this year.
“His time with North, Chicago, and Psalm has been excessively limited, violating the terms of their custody agreement regarding equal access and decision-making,” the source noted.
“Kanye wants Kim to remove the content about their children from her social media that was shared without his permission and to cease posting their images online.”
He also insists that the children should not be taken to public events without his prior written approval.
Most critically, he is urging Kardashian to ensure “regular and unrestricted access” for him to see the children, including immediate in-person visits.
