Sheinelle Jones, the co-anchor of NBC’s Today show, is mourning the death of her spouse, Uche Ojeh, who succumbed at the age of 45 after a private struggle with glioblastoma, a severe type of brain cancer. Jones and Ojeh first crossed paths while studying at Northwestern University and tied the knot in 2007. They were the proud parents of three children: Kayin, 15, and twins Clara and Uche Jr., aged 12. Ojeh was celebrated for his unwavering commitment to his family, frequently attending his kids’ activities and being actively involved in their lives.
In December 2024, Jones announced a leave of absence from Today, initially described as a “family health matter.” It has since come to light that her departure was to care for her husband during his fight against illness.

During the heartfelt tribute on Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie referred to Ojeh as a “remarkable individual” and “the ideal companion” for Jones.
