In the realm of “9-1-1” series, Ronen Rubinstein, known for his role in “9-1-1: Lone Star” and as part of the cherished couple Tarlos, has candidly mentioned how his character motivated him to embrace his true self in reality. In an interview with Variety in 2021, he publicly shared his journey of coming out.

“I completely identify as bisexual. I felt a rush of emotions just saying that. It’s incredibly liberating to express it and finally feel at ease with who I am,” he expressed. As T.K. Strand in “9-1-1: Lone Star,” Rubinstein explained his desire to come out publicly stemmed from a hope of supporting fans who fear the consequences of revealing their own identities. “I want everyone to understand they are not in this alone and that it’s absolutely acceptable. A year after his appearance in Variety, Rubinstein’s character took a significant step by proposing to Carlos Reyes, who is the other half of Tarlos.
