Elizabeth Weber distanced herself from fame after her marriage to Billy Joel
Following her divorce from Billy Joel in 1982, Elizabeth Weber chose to live a quieter, more private life. When invited to be part of “Billy Joel: And So It Goes,” which explores the singer’s early career, she declined, despite her friendship with the executive producer, Steve Cohen. She felt hesitant to re-enter the public eye after so many years, stating, “I have a wonderful life filled with privacy,” as she shared with People.
Although their marriage ended, Weber still respects the musician’s work ethic. “No one I’ve known has worked harder than he did during our time together,” she remarked to E! News. However, their relationship is not particularly close. “[We’re] amicable but not very close,” she explained to Page Six.
