The Ongoing Tension Between Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston

Angelina Jolie And Jennifer Aniston Reportedly Still Don't Like Each Other

Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston have had a longstanding rivalry, which they’ve managed to keep relatively low-key compared to other celebrity feuds. This tension primarily stems from Brad Pitt’s rumored affair with Jolie while he was still married to Aniston in the early 2000s. Their relationship blossomed during the filming of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” leading to the high-profile couple “Brangelina.” Their tumultuous romance ended in a bitter divorce in December 2024. Throughout all the media scrutiny regarding Pitt, Aniston maintained her dignity, although she wasn’t completely quiet about her feelings.

In a 2005 interview with Vanity Fair, Aniston commented on Pitt’s decision to participate in a glamorous photoshoot with Jolie amid their public separation. She noted, “Brad is not mean-spirited; he would never intentionally try to rub something in my face,” but acknowledged that he lacked sensitivity. Three years later, in a Vogue interview, Aniston directly criticized Jolie for discussing their affair while she was still married to Pitt. Aniston called Jolie’s remarks about eagerly going to work “really uncool.”

Nearly two decades later, despite the end of their romantic entanglements, the animosity between Jolie and Aniston reportedly endures.

Tensions Remain Between the Stars

The nature of the relationship between Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie is well-known, highlighting their mutual dislike. In recent years, both actresses appear to have focused on their careers, yet rumors suggest that their feud persists, despite diminished public interest. For instance, in 2020, Radar Online reported that Aniston was pleased when Jolie’s marriage to Pitt ended, claiming she played a role in his decision to separate. A source indicated that Aniston felt validated, believing Pitt was happier after their breakup.

By December 2024, Radar Online mentioned Aniston’s envy regarding Jolie’s acclaim for her recent film “Maria.” While the film has garnered Oscar buzz since its release in August 2024, insiders suggested that Aniston’s feelings of rivalry have intensified. Although there’s a continued sense of competition, it’s become more challenging for Aniston to rally support as she did two decades ago. The outlet also stated that neither actress is inclined to reconcile, particularly Aniston, who prefers to maintain her distance from Jolie.
