This was followed by a shared-parenting arrangement with Bridget Moynahan and a much-publicized, 13-year marriage to Gisele Bündchen, which concluded in 2022—more of a signature than a ceremony—and the aftermath of that split has been anything but easy.
A brief connection with Irina Shayk followed, along with a flurry of rumors sparked by his interaction with Sydney Sweeney at Jeff Bezos’ wedding in Venice. Just speculation—no confirmation, just two well-known figures in proximity. Yet, the internet couldn’t resist the gossip.
However, on July 4th, a shift occurred. Brady shared a post that had nothing to do with extravagant parties or new ventures. Instead, it featured a genuine moment: a photograph of his parents, Galynn and Tom Sr., sharing laughter at a family gathering. The accompanying text read:
“True Love! Celebrating together as always! The best mom and dad in existence. Grateful for your lifelong commitment to one another”
No marketing speak. No flashy terms. Just pure love—the kind Brady might have been seeking throughout his adult life.
Finding solace in something far more straightforward: his family.
July 4th also marked Galynn’s birthday, prompting Brady to honor her resilience. She is the woman who triumphed over breast cancer, instilled the value of determination in him, and initially hesitated to let him take up football. He only started during his freshman year of high school—because his mother wasn’t ready to witness her son getting tackled.
Meanwhile, his father infused everything with a sense of competition. Who could make it home first after church? Who could throw a stone the furthest? These playful contests helped mold the young athlete who would ultimately compete in 10 Super Bowls.
However, after parting ways with Gisele, everything seemed to shift. Brady’s pre-game rituals once included altars, healing gems, affirmations, and unique energy elixirs. “She had me wear specific jewelry, take her crafted drops, and recite numerous mantras,” Brady shared during a panel in 2019 (CBS Sports). While he laughed it off back then, the outcomes were undeniable.
In 2014, Gisele predicted a successful year—and he won the Super Bowl. In 2015, her forecast wasn’t bright—and they didn’t succeed. In 2016, she foretold the ultimate comeback—no mere guesses here. She was manifesting.
Once Gisele departed, it wasn’t merely the union that dissolved. Perhaps the energy vanished. The rituals. That subtle belief system that kept the GOAT’s mind and spirit harmonious. That may explain why this second retirement appears more conclusive. It’s not that Brady lost his skill, but perhaps the field felt starkly empty without her presence.
