Suspension of Petrolimex CEO
The Ministry of Finance has decided to place Mr. Dao Nam Hai, the CEO of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and representative of state capital, on temporary suspension.
As of May 6, the Ministry confirmed that Mr. Hai, also a board member, is suspended from his duties as the state capital representative at Petrolimex until further notice from the relevant authorities.
Additionally, the Ministry has transferred the management of state capital previously overseen by Mr. Hai, as outlined in Decision No. 45/QD-UBQLV from January 28, 2022, to Mr. Pham Van Thanh.
Mr. Thanh currently leads the group of state capital representatives and serves as the Chairman of the Petrolimex Board.
This suspension is effective immediately from the signing date of May 6.
Mr. Dao Nam Hai, born on August 11, 1974, in Hai Phong, possesses master’s degrees in law and business administration.
Prior to his position as CEO, he was the Deputy General Director of Petrolimex and held the General Director role at Petrolimex Insurance Corporation (Pjico).
In his career, Mr. Hai became Deputy General Director of Petrolimex on October 1, 2017. His previous experiences include being a board member at Pjico in 2009, General Director of Pjico in March 2013, and board member roles at other related entities.
