While accepting her award, Duong Dieu Linh reflected: “A decade ago, when I returned to Vietnam and attended the Autumn Meeting in Danang, I was merely a young filmmaker creating short films. I could never have thought that I would stand on a stage receiving such a prestigious award. I dedicate this to my cast, crew, and all my mentors who have guided me.”
This year, DANAFF grew in scope and duration, spanning seven days from June 29 to July 5, featuring nearly 200 screenings throughout Da Nang. Highlights included programs such as “Half a Century of Vietnamese War Films,” “Korean Cinema Focus,” and “Panorama of Asian & Vietnamese Cinema,” alongside engaging interactions between artists and audiences, celebrating cultural exchange under the festival’s theme: “The Bridge of Asia.”
During her remarks, Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, Director of DANAFF III, commented: “The 2025 Danang Asian Film Festival has successfully fulfilled two missions – honoring cinematic heritage and uncovering emerging talent.”
