12 Nigerian Beautiful Female On-Air Personalities (OAP) That Always Turn Us On‎

We believe that Media is a strong part of society today and anyhow we look at it we can almost never overemphasize its usefulness and reach. The Nigerian media space, particularly radio, has been somewhat controlled by several prominent ladies over time and we totally love the feel of it. Hence, we have this list which even though is in no particular order, basically spotlights 12 female on-air personalities whose sense of style, understanding of the job and renown we totally admire.
1. Toke Makinwa
Born on November 3, 1984; Toke has risen to become one of the most sought after radio personalities of today and on screen she is a total beauty as well. She currently hosts programmes on Rhythm 93.7FM even as she runs a vlog in addition to hosting on TV and at corporate gigs. She recently added writing to her resume with the launch of her book titled On Becoming which was released in November 2016. She has carved a niche for herself in the Nigerian entertainment and media industry.‎

2. Tosyn Bucknor

She is a female presenter who has also made strides in the media industry by all means. She hosts a morning show on Top radio 90.9fm. She is also related to Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, the CEO of Zapphire events. Tosyn got married to her French beau Aurelien Boyer on November 15, 2015.‎

3. Helen Paul

Helen gained popularity for playing Tatafo on Radio continental 102.3fm. Over time, her brand has stretched from media into comedy, acting and compering events. She is also a TV presenter. She is the co-host on M NET’s JARA which airs on African Magic. Helen paul also has several corporate brand endorsements to her name.

4. Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi

Gbemi is another huge media personality we admire, not just for her fashion sense but for her tenacity and understanding of radio. She has made strides in the media industry and she has awards and widespread recognition to show for this. In the past, she worked with Cool FM96.9 but at present she is with Beat FM 99.9. She also launched a shoe line called Gbemisoke Shoes sometime in 2015 and it appears there’s really no limit to what she can achieve as it is.‎

5. Stephanie Coker

Stephanie is another media personality we admire. She was the spirited host of MTV Base’s countdown show and we loved and follwed her on there all through. She left MTV in June 2016 but nonetheless has endeared many fans as she is as beautiful as her voice is smooth. She was also once a host on Cool FM, Lagos. She got engaged in August 2016 to her beau Olamide Aderinokun and there are reports they are having their traditional engagement in December 2016.

6. Omotunde Adebowale David ‘Lolo 1’

This beautiful plus-sized lady is one of the queens in the Nigerian media industry, particularly radio. She has a huge fan base as a result of her witty remarks on air and she is one of the most followed on Wazobia FM where she currently works. Other than this, she is also an actress famous for her role as Adaku on Funke Akindele’s Jenifa’s diaries.‎

7. Kaylah Oniwo

Kayla  Oke Wemimo is in simple terms a stunning radio host with an incredible fashion sense. She studied Banking and Finance at Bowen University, Iwo but decided to pursue a career in broadcasting after she tried her hands at it during her youth service. She has been doing a pretty good job as she currently co-hosts the Road show on Cool FM mong other things.

8. Tolu Oniru-Demuren
This list is not be complete without Tolu Oniru popularly known as Toolz. She is best known as a host on the Midday Show on Beat 99.9 FM. She relocated several years back and has rocked the Nigerian airwaves with her British accent mixed with a Nigerian twist. She seems to be dominating radio regardless of being around only for a short while which has seen her now up to par with some of her seniors in the industry. She is married to Captain Tunde Demuren, a pilot.‎

9. Oreka Godis

Oreka is one of the best female voices on Nigerian radio today. She grew up both in Nigeria and London. Since moving to Nigeria in 2009, she has hosted shows on Beat FM, Ebony Life TV as well as Urban FM where she currently is.

10. Fade Ogunro

Fade has left radio but it is no surprise she still manages to make it into our list of female radio stars we admire for what they’ve achieved in recent times. In 2015, she ended her eventful sojourn with Beat FM, Lagos but her fan base has not dropped one bit regardless. Fade hails from Ekiti state. She left Nigeria for the UK at a tender age and studied Journalism and Creative writing at Roehampton University. She relocated to Nigeria in 2010 and has pursued her dream ever since both as a media host and content priducer. Fade is also the younger sister of Sesan Ogunro, a renowned video director.‎

11. Anita Isedeh-Hughes 
Also known as Omalicha is an animated, deep radio personality with the soul of a queen. She is as charming as she is playful. But above all, she is a master of the craft. She has been a household voice on Rhythm FM, Lagos for as long as we can remember and there’s pretty much no end in sight for her. In July 2016, she got married to her lover Alex Hughes also known as DJ X-El, a radio DJ and together they host some weekend shows on Rhythm FM.

12. Laura Monyeazo Abebe
More popularly known as Moet, she is probably the youngest on this list alongside Stephanie Coker. Regardless, she is a bright star and her reach today is impeccable. From Soundcity TV to Soundcity radio, Moet is the voice to kill for. And she caps it up nicely with a fresh, warm personality. She deserves some recognition and we can only hope she continues from strength to strength.
