Over the weekend, an unexpected situation arose during the wedding of Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s daughter. The Emir of Katsina’s guards forcibly broke a glass door after they were initially denied entry.
The exclusive ceremony was hosted at the Governor’s private home and included various high-profile guests, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Due to strict security protocols, access to the main hall was temporarily halted to maintain control over the crowd and protect VIP attendees.
A video that circulated online depicted the moment the Emir’s arrival coincided with the door blockage. His entourage, featuring palace guards in traditional attire, reportedly smashed through the door to gain access.
This incident surprised several guests, resulting in glass shards scattering across the area, which prompted quick responses from security teams and palace officials.
Fortunately, the Emir was allowed into the venue without any further disruption.
Following the incident, the wedding ceremony progressed without any additional issues, with President Tinubu, Governor Radda, and other dignitaries offering their good wishes to the newlyweds.
