Former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has addressed remarks made by Reno Omokri, a previous aide to the presidency.
Omokri had challenged El-Rufai, suggesting he could not travel to the USA, promising to purchase him a first-class ticket if he dares to go.
In response, El-Rufai made a post on X, citing another user who had shared a photo of him in the USA.
El-Rufai clarified that this image was captured in September of last year while he was no longer in office.

He further referenced the following statement:
“This message is directed to the political bulldog known as Wendell Simlin, who claimed that Mallam Nasir El-Rufai cannot enter the USA. Here is Mallam in Washington, DC.
Additionally, before anyone suggests he relied on immunity, this was observed in September 2024, while he was out of office.
I feel sorry for those who take Wendell seriously.”
