Erhiga Agarivbie popularly known by his tage name, Erigga started out with the dream of becoming a professional basket ball player having played in Delta State Basketball Team and also in the Milo Basketball Championship for secondary schools.
The pidgin rap sensation from Warri in Delta State started recording songs at the tender been inspired by rap icons like rakim, canibus, 50 cent, Jay Z, Eminem, Jarule and Nas. Deriving inspiration from the streets, he has battled and won over 30 rap battles in Port Harcourt, Benin and Warri. With over 153 songs in his kitty some of which he wrote while paying the ultimate price for his juvenile misdemeanour in Warri.
In 2010 Erigga came out with a video title “Dem No Get Two Heads”, shot by Igho Tosin (igho films). The video did not get massive airplay because of the graphic content, however on youtube, he got over 5000 views in the first week of uploading the video.
Now, on the verge of stamping his name on the Lagos market, he hooked up with super heavy weight producer Lay Low to produce a single titled “Won Be Be” and has also shot a video for it with the same director that shot his controversial first video.
Erigga Newmoney has earn himself a place in the fast growing nigeria music industry performing on big stages with top Nigerian artistes. Erigga has also won several music awards in Warri, Delta state and Benin. When commenting on his plans for the future, he says his plan is to make many Nigerian top rappers find it hard to feed their families. A challenge he set for himself to accomplish.
