The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has declared that the nation will not back down from its conflict with Israel.
In a statement on platform X, he proclaimed that the confrontation with Israel has only just commenced.
This announcement was shared through his official social media channels on Tuesday evening.
Khamenei supported his declaration with an image portraying fiery orbs falling on an ancient city, which signifies a serious and possibly dire warning.
“In the name of #Haider, the battle begins,” Khamenei wrote in Farsi on X (formerly known as Twitter), referencing Ali ibn Abi Talib and his notable role in the early Islamic Battle of Khaybar.
This statement has heightened fears amid the mounting tensions within the Middle East.
This development follows previous comments from US President Donald Trump, who characterized Khamenei as a vulnerable target.
Trump cautioned that the United States’ tolerance regarding Iran is diminishing, demanding Iran’s unconditional capitulation.
