Ten Hag has signed a contract that will keep him with the Bundesliga side until June 2027.

The 54-year-old coach steps in for Xabi Alonso, who previously guided Leverkusen to notable achievements.

 

Ten Hag was seen as the leading choice for the position after Alonso’s exit.

 

The club clarified that this new agreement is set for two years, extending until the conclusion of the 2026/27 campaign.
