PDP National Secretariat Sealed Over 28 Years of Unpaid Rent

The National Headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been shut down.

 

This action was taken by the Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) on Monday.

 

The closure of the Secretariat, situated in Zone 5 of Abuja, was due to the failure to remit ground rent.

 

This was supported by Lere Olayinka, spokesperson for the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

 

Olayinka stated: “FCTA has closed the PDP Secretariat in Zone 5 Abuja due to unpaid ground rent.”

“Senator Samaila Mamman Kurfi, the property owner, has not paid ground rent for 28 years.”
