President Bola Tinubu honors Most Superior Evangelist Taiwo Oshin on his 100th birthday.
Evangelist Oshin, a notable figure from the Adegorushen Alaagbe family and head of the Lasunwo royal lineage in Ikorodu, Lagos, has committed over 70 years to his Christian calling.
For the last 20 years, he has held the position of second-in-command at the Celestial Church of Christ, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to faith and humanitarian service.
In a statement from his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu recognized the centenarian for his lasting impact on Christianity and the country, particularly in his initiatives to enhance missionary work throughout Ogun State.
“For seven decades in the clergy and the past two decades as the Celestial Church of Christ’s deputy leader, Baba Oshin has been an unwavering servant to faith and mankind.
“His role in promoting Christian teachings and fostering missionary efforts, especially in Ogun State, has significantly influenced our nation,” President Tinubu remarked in his tribute.
The President also lauded Oshin’s dedication, service, and leadership, celebrating his remarkable achievement of turning 100.
“As you enter the distinguished circle of centenarians, I commend your lifelong devotion, faith, and contributions. On behalf of a grateful nation, I wish you continued health, happiness, and fulfillment,” he added.
