In a distressing incident in Sapele Local Government Area, Delta State, a young girl named Onyinye and her mother allegedly fatally assaulted her father after he confronted her about her second pregnancy out of wedlock.
Reports indicate that the father was upset and questioned his daughter about her new pregnancy with a man he did not know.
During the confrontation, Onyinye became enraged and assaulted him, overpowering him in the process. Her mother joined in by locking the door and aiding in the attack until he fell and suffered a fatal head injury.
Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene before neighbors were able to intervene and force their way inside.
Local residents alerted the police, leading to the arrest of both the mother and daughter. However, when approached for comments, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, stated that the incident had not yet been officially reported.
