Currently, Benjamin Sesko stands as Arsenal’s main target in the forward position this summer, according to Sporting News.
The Gunners aim to secure a high-caliber striker this season but may only have the capacity for a single significant acquisition, with Viktor Gyokores from Sporting CP also being a player of interest for the Emirates Stadium executives.
Initially, Gyokores, who represents Sweden, was told he could depart from the Portuguese club for under €70 million (£59 million), yet Sporting is now insisting on a sum closer to €80 million (£68 million).
With an impressive record of 54 goals in 52 matches last season, Gyokores is reportedly inclined to join Arsenal and is awaiting clarity on the club’s position.
Simultaneously, Arsenal is in negotiations with RB Leipzig regarding Slovenian striker Sesko, who scored 21 goals in 45 matches and represented Slovenia at Euro 2024.
Discussions have been held with the player’s agents regarding personal terms; however, no official offer has been extended to the Bundesliga club so far.
