Chelsea Must Act: Sign Ronaldo for Club World Cup Now

Man United legend urges Chelsea to sign Cristiano Ronaldo for Club World Cup image

Following their qualification for the Champions League next season on the final day of the Premier League, Chelsea is now focusing on the UEFA Conference League final against Real Betis on Wednesday.

This match presents a chance for the Blues to clinch a trophy and conclude their European campaign positively. Beyond this, they also have the FIFA Club World Cup scheduled for June.

This year’s tournament is being conducted in a new, elaborate format, and Enzo Maresca’s squad is eager to capture this trophy as well.

Notably, clubs involved in the tournament are allowed to make temporary transfers specifically for it, prompting former Manchester United forward Dwight Yorke to share his thoughts with Chelsea.

Chelsea has faced consistent difficulties scoring goals this season, needing a more effective striker to capitalize on the opportunities they create, and Yorke has proposed a potential fix.

He has encouraged Chelsea to consider acquiring Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo for the tournament to help rectify their scoring issues.

Yorke’s Thoughts on Chelsea Signing Ronaldo for the Club World Cup

During an interview with gamblingindustrynews.com, Yorke remarked, “Absolutely! Why not? He still possesses the skills. If Chelsea plays to their potential and creates chances for him, he remains an outstanding forward. I see no reason to rule it out.”

“He is superior to what Chelsea currently has in their forward line, particularly in the number nine position. So, I understand why he’s being linked to them. Taking a chance on him seems completely logical to me.”
