Manchester City Anticipates Thrilling Bid for Young Star

Manchester City expected to receive bid for exciting youngster image

Manchester City has promptly begun enhancing its roster in preparation for the upcoming Club World Cup transfer deadline. The club has welcomed Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki to strengthen their midfield after the departure of Kevin De Bruyne.

In light of these new midfield signings, one young talent is reportedly eyeing a transfer to gain more on-field experience. Several clubs have shown interest, but a Bundesliga team is notably gearing up to make an offer for this midfielder.

Which player from Manchester City might depart this summer?

Bayer Leverkusen is rumored to be preparing an offer for Manchester City’s James McAtee, as reported by Sky Sports. This proposal is expected to materialize after the transfer window opens on Monday.

McAtee has demonstrated his potential while playing for City and its youth teams, as well as with the England under-21 side. He also had a spell at Sheffield United, where he contributed twelve goals and six assists over two seasons.

The young English talent has faced challenges in securing a regular place in City’s crowded midfield. With Pep Guardiola having numerous skilled options at his disposal, McAtee has not consistently been the preferred choice.

This season, he made 15 appearances in the Premier League, netting three goals. Additionally, he participated in five Champions League matches, scoring once.

Currently, McAtee is competing in the U21 Euros with England after deciding to forgo participation in the Club World Cup. Any potential transfer involving McAtee will take place post the conclusion of both tournaments.

There was also interest from Manchester United, but they have since shifted their focus elsewhere. McAtee’s asking price is expected to start at £25m, but City may aim to raise that figure significantly.
