Manchester United’s 2025 Summer Transfer Window: Signings & Sales Update

Who has Manchester United signed and sold so far in the 2025 summer transfer window? image

The transfer activities for Manchester United have commenced, but there’s still a lot on the agenda.

The 2025 summer transfer window kicked off with added urgency, opening early on June 1 due to the adjustments in the FIFA Club World Cup’s schedule. United got straight to action, making headlines even before other clubs began their dealings.

The Red Devils made a significant move right away, securing Wolves striker Matheus Cunha within the first 24 hours—before some fans had even received their summer jerseys.

After that initial flurry, however, the pace has slowed, although ongoing discussions with Brentford regarding Bryan Mbeumo remain intriguing.

The initial offer was rejected almost instantly, yet the club continues to pursue the Cameroonian talent.

On another front, the team has announced the departure of three players, with more exits likely as the Old Trafford management aims to free up funds by letting go of some well-known names to facilitate new signings.

Transfers in for Manchester United in the summer of 2025

  • Matheus Cunha from Wolves – £62.5 million (release clause)
  • Diego León from Cerro Porteño – £3.2 million plus potential add-ons of up to $4.5m

Transfers out from Manchester United in the summer of 2025

  • Victor Lindelof – Released (contract expired)
  • Jonny Evans – Released (contract expired)
  • Christian Eriksen – Released (contract expired)

The transfer window reopens again on June 16. Fans of United will be hoping for more signings rather than just travel news this time around.
