“Cats” has made a year-end list its filmmakers must find about as welcome as a hairball.
The movie’s been named one of the “10 Worst Films of 2019” by the Hollywood Reporter, joining stinkers such as “Arctic Dogs,” “Rambo: Last Blood” and “The Haunting of Sharon Tate.”
“There’s definitely the stale, cold smell of something here,” said THR.
The film, which has sparked bad to bizarre buzz over its digital humanoid felines, did claw its way to a Golden Globes nomination for best original song.
But the musical’s been left licking its wounds after being shut out in other categories, and getting a 19 percent “fresh” rating on RottenTomatoes.com.
