Kacey Musgraves called East Nashville home for years, and now the country crossover star is lending a hand to the city's tornado relief efforts.

Yesterday, Musgraves kicked off an online sale of clothing items from her stage wardrobe and personal collection, partnering with Instagram resellers Stage to Closet.

The sale was set to benefit Tennessee forest preservation, but in an Instagram story posted Tuesday, Musgraves wrote, "...while (forest preservation) is important to me, the Nashville tornado relief efforts need help first."

The sale is continuing Tuesday. New items will be posted on the Stage to Closet Instagram page.

"Nashville is so tight knit," she wrote on Twitter. "I'm gonna help in any way I can."
