Narrative confirmations surrounding WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness remain scarce. However, Disney+ teasers and narrative plausibilities suggest only one logical sequence of events. WandaVision will mirror the House of M comic book story.

The show will presumably take on an I Love Lucy meets Avengers saga vibe, as Wanda fractures reality, bringing Vision back to live in a futile attempt to restore love and harmony into her existence.

Considering the fallouts of Infinity War and Endgame have presumably left the character scarred, her powers will come to supplant her weakened emotional state, restoring Vision’s life and tinkering with the balance of space and time in the process. Then, Doctor Strange will come in to clean up her mess and awaken Wanda (in full Scarlet Witch state) from her delusion. And, considering Vision will likely be laid to rest, Wanda may find herself vulnerable, and open to a new love — a rebound.

One character who, according to insider sources, will join Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness boasts quite the complex love story with Scarlet Witch, and such could play out across the next few phases.

Brother Voodoo may come to play in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’

We Got This Covered (WGTC)  recently reported — relying on Roger Wardell (who previously predicted multiple Avengers: Endgame plot points prior to the film’s release) – that Brother Voodoo (AKA Jerick Drumm) will be joining Doctor Strange in his second outing. Wardell’s post read:

Doctor Strange 2: 1980’s Boogaloo. Tilda Swinton is in talks to return as the Ancient One. Jericho Drumm and Clea will make their MCU debuts, Clea will likely be portrayed by an Asian actress. Most importantly the gloves will be back!

Brother Voodoo is a powerful sorcerer who once even held Doctor Strange’s position as the Sorcerer Supreme; meaning, the MCU could be setting plans into motion for Cumberbatch’s replacement as well; however, let’s stick to one possible story at a time. How does Brother Voodoo know Scarlet Witch? How are the two connected? The two have a flirtatious past, marked by an understanding of what great power means — the responsibility entailed and the underlying fear associated with a need to remain in control (at all times).

The relationship between Brother Voodoo and Scarlet Witch in the comics

Scarlet Witch returns to the Avengers in Uncanny Avengers #26, after being possessed by a demon, and while many of the heroes are against her return, Voodoo stands by her side. In the MCU, characters may fear her return following her fractured state and lost grip on reality (expected to surface in WandaVision).

Voodoo comforts Scarlet Witch following her demon possession, and the two go on to strike up quite the flirtatious and romantic dynamic. Voodoo also saves Scarlet Witch from running out of Oxygen after being thrown into space in Uncanny Avengers #27, as Marvel.com notes.

Scarlet Witch comes to see Voodoo as a man who understands who she is in her entirety — as Wanda and as Scarlet Witch, as a vulnerable loving individual and an extremely powerful mage. Will overlapping powers, similar internal conflicts, and a life filled with external threats bring these two together following Wanda’s loss in the MCU?
