Some of the biggest stars in both film and TV took to the red carpet on Jan. 5, 2020, for the first big awards show of the year, the Golden Globe Awards. From Jennifer Lopez to the youngest nominee of the year, here’s a look at a few of the best dressed from the night.

One of the most notable celebrities at the awards show was Jennifer Lopez. She was there for Hustlers, the film about a group of strippers who take advantage of the Wall Street men who frequent the clubs. As always, the superstar wore an incredible gown.

Lopez talked about how much work she put in learning everything for the film, specifically the dancing. Rodriguez added, “It’s great to have a [stripper] pole in the master bedroom,” to which Lopez and Ryan Seacrest laughed quite a bit.

Davis is the young star of Jojo Rabbit, Taika Waititi’s film about a boy at the end of World War II whose imaginary friend is none other than Adolf Hitler. The actor was the youngest nominee at the 77th Golden Globe Awards.

Speaking to Giuliana Rancic, Davis said about how excited he was to meet people like Arnold Schwarzenegger. He also told her that his favorite part of working on the film was “kicking Hitler in the balls out the window,” speaking of the character played by Waititi himself.

Ana de Armas

Like Davis, Ana de Armas is another breakout star of the moment. She appeared in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out as Marta, the nurse of a wealthy mystery novel writer who becomes central to an investigation when he dies in a strange manner.

The actress’ role has been hailed as one of the best even amongst such a star-studded cast, and she was nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Film. “I’m trying to keep it together. I’m a mess right now,” said de Armas said on the red carpet.

Billy Porter

From a newcomer to someone who has been around for quite a while, Billy Porter was a nominee for his series Pose. And as usual, he took the red carpet in an incredible outfit that everyone took notice of.

“The feathers are fragile,” Porter said of his get-up. “This is not a sitting outfit,” he added. The multi-talented also spoke to Seacrest about how his career has changed over time and “put some light into the world” with his hit song “Love Yourself.”

Though she’s young, Joey King had been in show business for quite some time. And she seriously knows how to rock a unique get-up, as seen above. “Yup, this is the look,” she said she thought of her intricate ensemble.

As for attending the ceremony itself, she told Rancic she was “a little jittery.” What was challenging for her about the Hulu miniseries The Act was “getting the nuances” and “mannerisms” of the girl Gypsy on who her character was based.
