Post Malone’s ‘Psycho,’ Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Headed for Top Five Debut on Billboard Hot 100 Next Week

The song could start at No. 2 below Drake's "God's Plan."

Post Malone‘s “Psycho,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, is aiming to roar onto next week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated March 10) in the top five.

The song, released on Republic Records, could likely start as high as No. 2, perhaps matching his best bow; “Rockstar,” featuring 21 Savage, debuted at No. 2 last October, before spending eight weeks at No. 1.

Incumbent No. 1 Drake‘s “God’s Plan” appears set to maintain its spot on top for a sixth total week at No. 1.

Let’s run some projections. Highlights of next week’s Hot 100, which blends streaming, airplay and sales data, according to Nielsen Music, will post on Billboard.com Monday (March 5), with all charts posting the following day (March 6).

Based on preliminary data projecting the tracking period feeding next week’s Hot 100, “Psycho” could draw over 45 million U.S. streams in the week ending March 1, likely sparking a No. 2 debut on the Streaming Songs chart. It should arrive atop the Digital Song Sales chart, selling over 70,000 downloads. The song is also likely to draw over 10 million in radio audience in the tracking week ending March 4.

“God’s Plan” appears safe to stay at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with over 75 million U.S. streams, 50,000 downloads sold and 80 million in airplay reach.

Post Malone should score his third Hot 100 top 10, following “Congratulations” (featuring Quavo), which hit No. 8 last July, and “Rockstar” (which ranked at No. 6 on the March 3-dated Hot 100, after logging its first 22 weeks on the chart in the top five).
