Starz has dropped a teaser trailer for Power spinoff Power Book II: Ghost, and rounded out the show’s cast with some familiar faces from the Power universe.

Joining Mary J. Blige and Cliff ‘Method Man’ Smith in the drama will be Michael Rainey Jr. as Tariq St. Patrick, Shane Johnson as Cooper Saxe, and Naturi Naughton as Tasha St. Patrick. Other returning cast include Tariq’s dorm-mate, Brayden, played by Gianni Paolo, and Quincy Tyler Bernstine’s New York City defense attorney Tameika Washington.
New to the cast is Daniel Bellomy (The Real MVP: The Wanda Durrant Story), Paige Hurd (The Oval), Melanie Liburd (This is Us), Justin Marcel McManus (Star), Woody McClain (The Bobby Brown Story), Lovell Adams-Gray (Coroner), and LaToya Tonodeo (The Oath).
Power Book II: Ghost follows the events of the sixth and final season of Power. It features Method Man as ambitious and savvy attorney Davis Maclean, a character who is attracted to the NYC underworld run by Blige’s character. He may find himself entrapped by some secrets from his past.
The show is executive produced by series creator and showrunner Courtney A. Kemp through her company End of Episode, and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson through his G-Unit Film and Television. Also serving as executive producers are Mark Canton through Atmosphere Entertainment MM, End of Episode’s Chris Selak and Danielle DeJesus, Shana Stein and Bart Wenrich. Lionsgate TV produces the series for Starz.
