After 14 years, the cast of The Office is finally defending Reese Witherspoon's iconically charming, hilarious, and downright inspirational film, Legally Blonde.

On the Office Ladies podcast, Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey revisited "The Fire" episode of the show, which is the one when the Scranton team evacuates the building because of a fire that is accidentally started by Ryan the temp's cheese pita.

To pass the time in the parking lot, most of the employees play a game called "Desert Island," which some people may know as "Stranded on a Deserted Island." The game involves sharing a few movies that you'd bring with you to a deserted island, and after Meredith says Legally Blonde, Jim spends the rest of the episode shitting on the film.

Jim, who doesn't feel Legally Blonde is worthy of being one of the only films you watch on repeat for the rest of time, was obviously wrong. And after all these years Fischer and Kinsey have finally admitted it.

After Meredith reveals Legally Blonde is one of her island choices, Pam attempts to defend her by openly admitting to Jim that she also likes Legally Blonde. He replies, "Pam, no. Do you understand that the game is desert island movies, not guilty pleasure movies? Desert island movies are the movies you're going to watch for the rest of your life. Forever. Unforgivable."

What Pam should have done was bend and snap Jim right in the face, but instead she took her love of the movie BACK and later had the nerve to "snarkily laugh" at Jim's girlfriend Katy for saying that she'd bring the movie to an island.

Anyway, years after their transgressions Fischer thankfully had enough sense to call out Pam's ridiculous behavior and set the record straight. "I think Legally Blonde is a great movie that has a positive message. Jim is wrong," Fischer said.

"You heard it here, Reese Witherspoon," Kinsey said. "Yeah, Reese Witherspoon, in case you were worried that the movie didn't land, we love Legally Blonde. It landed. We loved it," Fischer added.

Kinsey and Fischer also discussed the other games the group played, like "Who Would You Do," and "Would You Rather?" They even shared their personal Desert Island picks, which (no surprise!) differ significantly from their characters' choices.

Fischer's current Desert Island movies are The Edge, The Three Amigos, Tootsie, Terms of Endearment, and Parasite. Kinsey said she had a tough time choosing, but her list includes Meet the Parents, the Keira Knightley Pride and Prejudice, Out of Africa, The Matrix, The Empire Strikes Back, Shakespeare in Love, and Elizabeth. She also considered saying "none of these movies, just Downton Abbey," which sounds like something Angela Martin might say if asked today.

So what have we learned today? Never turn on Legally Blonde to impress a man. And Reese, if you're reading this, we need to know your top five Desert Island movie picks. Thank you.
