Despite the fact that Chrissy Teigen originally saw nothing wrong with her soup-related tweet, the star eventually admitted that she may have made a mistake when it came to suggesting cross-country food delivery during an international health crisis. “I didn’t mean it to sound like I don’t care about the pandemic?” Teigen tweeted. She continued by explaining that she had shared the message “quite innocently,” however, was willing to admit after the fact that it was “perhaps tone deaf.”
The head of Chrissy’s Court — a Judge Judy-ish show which premieres on Quibi in April 2020 which will see her use her, er, common sense (or feisty reactions?) to decide cases — continued, “I like soup and if you can support these businesses, then that seemed cool but yeah if you can’t, then that is also fine, I am not shaming you.”
Whether or not you think that Teigen’s original tweet was indeed tone-deaf, we can surely agree that it’s best to not shame each other and instead look out for each other until this health crisis has passed.
