Meghan Markle and Victoria Beckham, once known for their close friendship, are now reportedly at a breaking point in their relationship.
Royal commentator Ingrid Seward has revealed that the two have effectively stopped communicating, and this separation seems to be permanent. The growing divide between Meghan and the ex-Spice Girl may stem from their differing professional priorities and media strategies.
Despite potential for mending their friendship, Victoria Beckham appears too preoccupied with her busy life to reconnect with Meghan. Seward highlighted that Victoria’s commitments, including her successful business and family responsibilities, leave her little time for personal relationships.
Professional Rivalry
Currently, Victoria is focused on producing her Netflix series, The House of VB, which chronicles her journey managing her fashion brand while balancing her roles as a mother and wife. Production began in August, though a premiere date is still to be announced.
Meanwhile, Meghan is also working on a project for the same streaming service, and there are claims that she feels “furious” about Victoria’s production, as she also aims to launch a cooking series in 2025 related to her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
Seward mentioned that Meghan is frustrated that Victoria has gotten ahead in the race to release a Netflix show.
Additionally, Seward suggested that while Meghan may be upset, her background in acting has taught her to maintain composure and not express those feelings publicly.
Widening Distances
The rift between the Beckhams and Sussexes seems rooted in more than just work differences.
Seward indicated that the Beckhams have distanced themselves from Meghan and Harry, largely due to the Sussexes’ declining popularity and various controversies since their exit from royal duties.
Although their friendship blossomed over the years, it appears that both women are now heading in different directions, making reconciliation unlikely.
