Killing Eve star Jodie Comer has had a great couple of years, especially for the warm reception she is receiving for her performance in the show’s second season. As we look ahead, she’s already set for a number of new projects.
Jodie Comer earned acclaim for the second season of ‘Killing Eve’
After being nominated for multiple awards for the first season of Killing Eve, Comer took home a trophy in the second season. This year, she won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the role as Oksana Astankova / Villanelle.
She is also nominated for her first Golden Globe award for the latest season of the show. Comer is nominated for Best Actress – Television Series Drama.
The actress has high-profile projects on deck
Comer has one big project that is in pre-production and another that is in post-production and will be released soon. Free Guy, an action-comedy that also stars Ryan Reynolds, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Camille Kostek is set for release in June 2020.
She is also attached to star in the Ridley Scott film, The Last Fall. In that film, she would star with Adam Driver, Ben Affleck, and Matt Damon. Affleck and Damon are also writing the script for the project. Comer was once said to be starring in the Murder on the Orient Express sequel, Death on the Nile, with Annette Benning, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Letitia Wright, and Sophie Okonedo. She was no longer attached in later reports about the film, which is now in post-production.
It looks like the Killing Eve actress is booked and busy and its full steam ahead into this next decade.
