Orji Uzor Kalu Announces Intent to Step Down from Senate President Race if Requested by Tinubu

Orji Uzor Kalu, Chief Whip of the Senate, has declared that he will step down from the race for the 10th National Assembly Presidency if President-Elect Bola Tinubu requests him to do so. Kalu made this announcement during a press conference at the State House after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari about his Senate Presidency ambitions. He stated that he is still hopeful, even though he has not received any assurance from anyone. He also emphasized that he would be the solution to the search for a South-East Senate President and that he can be stopped by those in the big league, despite his declaration that it is his turn.
