Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are one of the most iconic couples in country music, and they even starred together in the TV series “1883”. However, McGraw has been open about his past struggles with alcohol. In his memoir “Grit & Grace: Train The Mind, Train The Body, Own Your Life”, McGraw recounts the moment Hill gave him an ultimatum that ultimately motivated him to get sober. He wrote that Hill told him, “Partying or family, take your pick.” In 2014, McGraw admitted that his three daughters had started to notice his problem and this added to his guilt. He said, “When your wife tells you it’s gone too far, that’s a big wake-up call. That, and realizing you’re gonna lose everything you have. Not monetarily, not career-wise, but family-wise.” Hill has revealed that she is not the type to give up on her marriage without a fight. She said, “When you commit to someone, when you love someone, you commit to being there for them for the highs, the lows, anytime.”
