Alabama Barker praised her stepmom, Kourtney Kardashian, on her 44th birthday. “Happy birthday Kourt,” the 17-year-old wrote via her Instagram Story Tuesday. “You’re the best stepmom I could ask for, you are so caring and generous for others, you are such a family person and such a hard working mom.” She continued, “Even if you don’t feel good or had a hard day, you always put your family first. You have such a beautiful aura, I wouldn’t want another step mom.” Alabama accompanied the sweet message with a series of photos of the “Kardashians” star and dad Travis Barker.
Although the teen had nothing but nice things to say about Kardashian, her mom, Shanna Moakler, shaded the Poosh founder on social media. After a fan called Kardashian and Travis’s Hulu wedding special an “exploitative money grab,” the former Miss USA contestant chimed in, claiming the reality TV star was also cashing in off her kids. “She post more of my kids then [sic] her own lol,” the 44-year-old, who was married to Travis from 2004 to 2008, replied.
The Poosh founder wed Travis Barker last May. The former Playmate shares two biological kids — Landon, 19, and Alabama, 17 — with the Blink-182 drummer. Travis has also remained close to Moakler’s first child, Atiana De La Hoya, from her previous relationship with Oscar De La Hoya. Meanwhile, Kardashian shares sons Mason, 13, and Reign, 8, along with daughter Penelope, 10, with ex Scott Disick.
Kardashian and Travis blended their families in May 2022 when the two tied the knot in Italy. On the contrary to Moakler’s shady comment, Kardashian posts far more photos of her three children than she does of her blended family — despite the fact they all seem to get along great. Yet the former beauty pageant queen has gone through periods of estrangement with her children, who live full-time with their father.
