The Lagos State Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has detained two individuals believed to be part of a cult.
This information was released in a statement on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
The individuals, named Okey Bright, also known as “B in Fine Boy,” age 21, and 22-year-old Daniel Prince, were captured at around 4:00 a.m. on February 11, after returning from their group’s annual meeting held at a hotel in Lekki (name undisclosed).
“Initial investigations showed that Bright, a university student living in Ikoyi, joined the group in 2024,” the statement indicated.
“Prince, who is also a university student, works as a hair stylist and is known by the nickname “Rugged Promotion”.
“Daniel Prince’s suspicious behavior caught the attention of the officers, particularly as he was seen carrying a cross bag.
“Inside Prince’s bag, officers found caps typically linked to the cult, resulting in the prompt arrest of both individuals.
“This operation highlights the State Command’s continuous efforts to tackle cultism and ensure safety within the community.
“The suspects have been forwarded to the CP’s Special Squad for further inquiries.”
