Travis Scott brought the rage to his fans at home with his one-of-a-kind virtual concert on Fortnite.
The “Astronomical” experience set a Fortnite record with an audience of 12.3 million concurrent players, the biggest live audience in the game’s history. The previous all-time high for concurrent viewers was Marshmello’s virtual performance in February 2019, which drew over 10.7 million live fans.
But while millions were tuned in, it was Travis’ daughter Stormi Webster who stole the show. The 2-year-old made a surprise appearance during her dad’s Instagram Live on Thursday night. Travis told Stormi to say hi and bye to his followers before she asked her dad to watch a movie, and of course, he obliged.
“Be back, gotta put on a movie,” said Travis before ending the Live. “See you later.”
He also shared an Instagram Story of his baby girl wearing headphones while watching her dad on Fortnite. “Stormi took over Be back one sec,” he wrote.
Later that night, Kylie Jenner took to her Instagram Story to share a video of her daughter wearing “Stormi” sunglasses. “Stormi your T-shirt, what did you do for dinner time?” asked Kylie. “You went crazy.”
Travis’ “Astronomical” concert also featured the premiere of his collaborative single “The Scotts” with Kid Cudi, which has already hit No. 1 on Apple Music. The Fortnite virtual experience continues with encore showings through Saturday. Virtual doors open 30 minutes before the show.
“HONESTLY TODAY WAS ONE OF THE MOST INSPIRING DAYS. LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF U GUYS,” tweeted Travis. “AND I KNOW TIMES ARE WEIRD FOR US. BUT FOR ONE MOMENT TO BE ABLE TO HAVE THE RAGERS TO RAGE WHERE EVER YOU ARE IS AMAZING. LOVE U GUYS WITH ALL MY BODY.”
