Good friends stand by you in tough times. NFL star Travis Kelce experienced this firsthand when he felt the comforting presence of Brittany Mahomes during an emotional moment at a Taylor Swift concert.
The star tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs has been accompanying his girlfriend on her Eras Tour, attending several concerts around the world. During a recent show in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Kelce was joined by his teammate Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany.
Mahomes and Kelce have a bond that extends beyond the football field, often sharing moments of celebration, travel, and even enjoying a round of golf together, a sport they both love.
On this particular occasion, Brittany stepped up to show her friendship and provide much-needed emotional support to Kelce during the concert in Amsterdam.
Kelce’s emotional moment
The emotional moment, captured on video, happened during a mix of three of Swift’s heartfelt songs, “Mary’s Song,” “So High School,” and “Everything Has Changed.” There is speculation among Swifties that the medley was dedicated to Kelce.
A viral video shows Kelce visibly moved during the performance, seemingly wiping away tears. Speculations grew stronger when Brittany approached Kelce, and he acknowledged her presence. Though the exact exchange between them remains unknown, the timing spoke volumes.
Kelce and Swift’s bond
After the concert, Kelce eagerly awaited Swift at the stage’s edge. As Swift made her way backstage, Kelce rallied the crowd, urging applause for the singer.
Travis and Taylor are nearing their first relationship anniversary. While they made it official in September and she started attending Chiefs games shortly after, they revealed that they had been dating for several weeks prior.
Swift’s Eras Tour will wrap up the European leg in August with shows in London. The tour will resume in Miami, Florida, in mid-October, and conclude in Vancouver, Canada, in early December, presenting ample opportunities for her to support Kelce at his games again.
