Son Shoots Retired ASP Father Leading to His Death in Maiduguri

The son, a police sergeant, shot his father seven times after a minor feud in Maiduguri, resulting in the father’s death.

A police sergeant named Sunday Wadzani has fatally shot his father, Retired Asp Wadzani Ntasiri, in Maiduguri, Borno State, following a minor dispute.

The son fired seven shots at his father, leading to his death.

Allegedly, the incident occurred behind the State Police Command headquarters in Moduganari on Sunday, July 21.

Wadzani has been apprehended and is currently held in custody at the GRA Police Station, as per a security source speaking to DailyTrust.

“A police sergeant identified as Sgt. Sunday Wadzani, serving in Borno State command, shot his father Retired Asp Wadzani Ntasiri seven times after a minor feud in Maiduguri this evening on the 21st of July 2024,” as noted in an incident report.
