Angelman syndrome is a rare genetic disorder affecting the nervous system, characterized by cognitive and developmental disabilities, distinctive facial features, speech difficulties, and balance issues.
With James approaching his 21st birthday and facing independence without the safety nets of specialized education, Colin Farrell, known for “Miami Vice,” launched his foundation to provide essential support.
“I wish for James to be treated with kindness and respect by the world,” expressed Farrell in an interview with People.
In a heartfelt confession, Farrell shared his struggles in determining if James, despite being addressed as an adult, is comfortable with a foundation established in his honor.
“I must decide based on James’ character, his inner goodness, and the person he is,” Farrell explained.
“Every day, I am proud of him,” Farrell added.
