Brad Pitt’s legal issues with Angelina Jolie have caused significant distress for his parents, William and Jane Pitt, who have not seen their grandchildren for almost ten years.
The Family Divide: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Struggles
According to sources reported by the Daily Mail, the estrangement between Brad and Angelina has affected their six children since 2016, after a troubling incident aboard a private jet led Angelina to file for divorce.
William and Jane Pitt last enjoyed time with their grandchildren during the 2014 premiere of “Unbroken,” a film directed by Jolie, where Jane praised her for her commitment to the family.
Prior to their separation, the grandparents frequently spent quality time with Brad and Angelina’s children: Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.
A family source lamented the situation, saying, “They cherished their roles as grandparents, and now, after eight years, it’s devastating to consider they might never reconnect.”
The family tensions are not limited to Brad’s parents. Jolie’s father, actor Jon Voight, has also noted his infrequent contact with his grandchildren and has encouraged the former couple to mend their relationship for the sake of the kids.
Recently, Angelina attended the Governors Ball with her son Knox amidst accusations of intentionally creating distance between Pitt and their children.
Although Brad faces obstacles, he still holds out hope for a reconciliation.
Additionally, the former couple continues to clash over their shared winery, complicating their already strained relationship.
For the elder Pitts, this situation is disheartening.
As one insider pointed out, “At their age, it’s painful to think they may never see their grandchildren again.”
