The Benue State Police Command has initiated a thorough investigation into the murder of a woman in Makurdi by unknown gunmen.
Theresa Awuhe was tragically shot and killed on Saturday night, August 24, 2024, as she was returning home from her shop. The assailants attacked her near the Villa suite and fatally shot her.
It was reported that nothing was stolen from her, and the perpetrators escaped after committing the crime.
The spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, SP Catherine Anene, verified the incident and confirmed that an investigation is currently underway to bring justice to the victim.
“The case has been reported to the police, and we are diligently investigating the matter,” she stated.
