Barau Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President, has sent his warmest wishes to Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 58th birthday.
Shettima, the former Governor of Borno State, turned 58 today, on Monday, September 2, 2024.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau praised the Vice President for his significant contributions in both the private and public sectors, earning him widespread admiration.
Barau prayed to God for Shettima’s continued good health and wisdom to assist President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in governing the country.
Describing Shettima’s journey from a successful banker to a prominent figure in politics, Barau highlighted his exceptional governance during his time as Borno State governor from 2011 to 2019 and his diligent work as the chairman of the Senate Committee on Interior from 2019 to 2023.
He concluded with a prayer for Shettima’s well-being and wisdom in supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in realizing the Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria’s peace and progress.
